Educational Visits

Day visits take place related to aspects of the curriculum. There is a high level of supervision, generally including a Learning Support Assistant. All adults are aware of the activities of the day, organisation, and behaviour expected of the children. A member of staff is nominated as the party leader and is aware of their responsibilities adhering to the LEA policy on safety and codes of practice.  When visits are planned, all parents are informed by letter of the organisation, arrangements and activities children will be undertaking.

The Governing Body has given approval for the following types of activities to be arranged in support of the educational aims of the school:

  • out of hours clubs (we review the clubs regularly so that the needs of our current pupils are met);
  • regular local visits (village hall, libraries, shops, woodlands, places of worship, farms);
  • day visits for particular year groups or whole school visits;
  • activities which might be classed as higher risk, eg days joining with other schools, outings connected with Wycombe Alliance Creative Arts events;
  • residential trips will be organised for Upper KS2 children.
