Year 3 & 4 - 'Kestrels & Red Kites'
Food Festival Fun!
What a feast we had on Thurs 6th July when the children brought a delicious dish made using their ingredient for their food project. Well done to all the children for working so hard at home (and the parents!) You should feel very proud of your finished recipes!
Lt. Col Hopkins (Cleo and Dylan's dad!) visited us today to tell us about his modern job in the armed forces. He is a Royal Marine Commando and the children were incredibly inspired by his video of the training course which marines have to complete and the places around the world where he has served our country.
We wish Lt.Col Hopkins the best of luck for the rest of his deployment in Bahrain and thank him for his patience when answering our endless questions!
This was a wonderful way to end our topic on The Romans, the children had an action packed day including:
* Making Roman honey cakes
* Creating a felt pouch called a bulla which all Roman children were given when they were born
*Designing a special token using Roman numerals to keep inside their bulla
* Dressing up and of course a FEAST!
